The nearest major airport is Myrtle Beach International (MYR), about 15 minutes from Surfside Beach by car. Charlotte Douglas (CLT) is roughly two and a half hours, and several Southeast cities are within a 4–6 hour drive. You’ll want a car — Surfside Beach is walkable for beach access and nearby restaurants, but trips to Murrells Inlet, Brookgreen Gardens, and Myrtle Beach State Park all require driving. Beach Essentials
Sunscreen (SPF 50 minimum), beach towels, a portable cooler, and reusable water bottles. Sand chairs and an umbrella if you have them — both can be rented near the beach if not. Clothing
